Jamie Thompson

“INdustrial is a direct comment on time and space, where the artwork incorporates intersecting spatial perspectives and the unyielding deterioration of age.  Exploring architectural and sculptural elements, these photographs exude dynamic foregrounds against deep fields of some of Toronto’s urban historical landmarks. Much like an untouched landscape, the architecture evolves at the hand of nature. Oxidization, rust, new growth – what seems to be still is actually in constant flux. An ever-changing milieu to which aging elements characterise the form of the work and this neglected landscape.”
